Hey Kid's, Let's Make a Movie! (About Your Life)
Note: This post is incomplete...I will be adding more over the course of the next few days...
Sometimes we don't do a "thing" because we tell ourselves that it is something we can do later.
Sometimes this results in the thing not getting done. I learned a simple trick that will motivate you to do the things that need to get done.
Imagine yourself as the director of a movie which you just happen to be also starring in (you also happen to be the screen writer).
The plot is simple; the hero (you) must complete a task (or several tasks) in order to obtain a worthwhile goal (the more worth while the better).
There will be obstacles. In order to get past them you must ask yourself, "what must the hero (YOU) do to overcome this obstacle?"
Use your imagination to see this movie as it plays out and, more importantly, see the eventual outcome, and even more importantly, the reward.
If you don't like the way it's going you can always yell "CUT!" and change the script or the setting or even the cast. But keep the reward the same.
The main thing to remember is that your movie won't get made and your task will never be completed unless you yell (and take) "ACTION!"
