Everyone Looks For the Price Tag

Everyone looks for the price when they buy or when they receive a greeting card.  One day I showed someone one of the SendOutCards I sent to myself (it had a picture of my grandkids on it).  Sure enough, after looking at the front and inside of the card, he turned to the back.  Then he turned it sideways, then he turned it upside down, then he went back to the inside of the card, and finally back to the front.  "This is nice," he said.  I nodded and smiled.  "Is that your website on the back of the card?" he asked.  "Yes," I replied. "How much did it cost," he asked.  "It cost $1.37 to send that card online," I replied.  "No, how much did the website cost?" So, I told him.  "Are you making any money with this?" So, I told him.  "How do I sign up?"  So, I told him.

So, what have I accomplished?

  • I've shown an impressive feature (ability to add a picture to a card).
  • I've shown that the card is of high quality.
  • I've shown that it is affordable.
  • I've shown that it is covenient.
  • I've shown that is easy to keep in touch with people you care about.
  • I've shown that it can provide an additional income stream.

Sometimes, depending on the person, I mention that it allows me to earn extra income working part time from home (or anywhere I have an internet connection).  This has led to a number of people who have expressed interest, some of whom have joined and some I am in the process of following up with.
