Everyone Looks For the Price Tag

Brandon_aaliyah_ivan
Everyone looks for the price when they buy or when they receive a greeting card.  One day I showed someone one of the SendOutCards I sent to myself (it had a picture of my grandkids on it).  Sure enough, after looking at the front and inside of the card, he turned to the back.  Then he turned it sideways, then he turned it upside down, then he went back to the inside of the card, and finally back to the front.  "This is nice," he said.  I nodded and smiled.  "Is that your website on the back of the card?" he asked.  "Yes," I replied. "How much did it cost," he asked.  "It cost $1.37 to send that card online," I replied.  "No, how much did the website cost?" So, I told him.  "Are you making any money with this?" So, I told him.  "How do I sign up?"  So, I told him.

So, what have I accomplished?

  • I've shown an impressive feature (ability to add a picture to a card).
  • I've shown that the card is of high quality.
  • I've shown that it is affordable.
  • I've shown that it is covenient.
  • I've shown that is easy to keep in touch with people you care about.
  • I've shown that it can provide an additional income stream.

Sometimes, depending on the person, I mention that it allows me to earn extra income working part time from home (or anywhere I have an internet connection).  This has led to a number of people who have expressed interest, some of whom have joined and some I am in the process of following up with.

Give Someone a Gift Card and They'll Buy Fish For a Day...

Shopping

I ran a contest recently. The prize was a $25 American Express gift card. Someone won. She sent me her address so I could send her prize. I thought I could purchase the gift card using points from my SendOutCards account. Turns out a gift card purchase can only be made from my expense account. I informed the winner of my mistake and asked if she'd accept an audio book or a hard or soft cover book of her choice instead.  "Sure," she said. Her book of choice was one of my favorite business books of all time; Go For No! by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz.  "Sure," I said.  I logged into my SendOutCards account and sent her the $12 book and a $1 congratulation card.

The reason I'm writing this is to share the brilliant logic behind her decision to accept the $12 book over the $25 gift card. Here's what she said:

"It'll get me more than that $25 will anytime!"

I almost cried when she said that. First, I was impressed by her foresight. Second, I knew that it was possible because I'd done it myself. Third, (and this is the sad part) if I gave all my contest winners the choice between the $25 gift card and the book, I'm fairly certain that 9 out of 10 people would choose the gift card.

The Importance of Followup

Every top leader in the MLM industry has had the following experience:

Someone contacts them and tells them that they are ready to join but the person who introduced them to the opportunity is no longer in the business.  This new person goes on to do very well or maybe even becomes a super star in the business.  For example, the person who introduced me to the business stopped contacting me after two tries.  I was interested but I wasn't ready at the time.  A year later I was ready to join but I didn't have any contact information from the person who introduced me to the business.  So, I ended up on someone else's team.  And now I'm on my way to doing well (which will lead to very well and maybe even super stardom).  This illustrates the importance of following up.  Unless someone gives you a definite NO, keep them in the pipeline; you never know when they might be ready.

They Pick You...

A friend sent me this from Randy Gage:

They Pick You...

One of the hardest things I had to come to grip with was that I don't pick my team. And neither do you.

You get to seek them, you get to invite them. But they have to pick you. Even more importantly, they have to pick themselves.

So don't beat yourself up. Model the behavior. Make the invite. Follow up. And do enough of all this.

But stop waiting for that one person. Stay busy and keep offering the opportunity. And ultimately the right people will pick you.

New Greeting Card Designs

In addition to the famous quote theme (represented here by my grandson Brandon), I'm working on an affirmation line of cards. These are cards that I mail to clients that they can carry around and remind themselves of their personal affirmation. Speaking of which, I better get around to creating my own.

How to Get More Business in Good Times and Bad

Thanks_for_the_refferral

  • Do you need to generate more referrals
  • Do you need to stay in front of your leads and customers more frequently?
  • Do you have a message you need to communicate with your database?
  • Do you have a lead list to follow up with?
  • Do you want to generate more revenue for your company?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, you need to know about SendOutCards.  It's an on-line greeting card service that prints and mails greeting cards designed by YOU online.

I love using it to stay in touch with those I care about. SendOutCards can be used for businesses who want to stay in touch with prospects, clients, and referral partners, as well as for individuals who want to do a better job staying in touch with friends, family and others they care about by sending birthday, holiday cards, and "just because" cards.  I love it because it is quick and easy to use, and it's really affordable.  Most cards cost me about a dollar to send.

SendOutCards may be the solution you've been praying for.

The Children's Guide to Building a Successful SendOutCards Business

Although you have to be at least 18 to join SendOutCards, it is so simply that an 8 year old can build a successful SOC business in 90 days. The first step is to sign up for a FREE account at the following link: My SOC Site.  Then follow these steps for 3 months.

Month One
1. Save all loose change for 30 days.
2. Read "The Ant and the Grasshopper" by Aesop.
3. Purchase cards from online card catalog.
4. Send heart-felt customized greeting cards to those you care about.

Month Two
1. Save all loose change for 30 days.
2. Read "The Little Engine That Could" by Watty Piper.
3. Purchase cards from online card catalog.
4. Send heart-felt customized greeting cards to those you care about.

Month Three
1. Save all loose change for 30 days.
2. Read "The Tortoise and the Hare" by Aesop.
3. Purchase cards from online card catalog.
4. Send heart-felt customized greeting cards to those you care about.

Assuming that you saved $30 and sent 30 cards each month you will have sent 90 cards by the end of the 3rd month.  More than half of the people you sent cards to will call to ask how you did it.  If you SHOW them how you did it and let them SEND a card for FREE, 10 will sign up as customers and 1 will sign up as a distributor.  At this point you will want to sign up as a distributor in order to receive a percentage of all the cards and gifts that will be sent by your customers and distributor (and their customers and distributors up to 7 levels).

Repeat this process (changing only the books you read) and in 5 years your 8 year old will turn 13 and be making more money than you make.

This is based on a true story.  Your actual results may vary (you may do better).  Contact me and I will show you how to send a card for free. rcbonayatwork@gmail.com

This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought we'd chat.

Recently came across a message that my friend, Michele, sent my way. I found this interesting and thought I'd share it here.

GOD : Hello. Did you call me?

Me: Called you? No.. who is this?

GOD : This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought we'd chat.

Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.

GOD : What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Me: Don't know. But I cant find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

GOD : Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.

Me: I understand. But I still cant figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.

GOD : Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

GOD : Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

GOD : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty..

GOD : Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

GOD : Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience their life become better not bitter.

Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?

GOD : Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?

GOD : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading.

GOD : Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

GOD : Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Me: What surprises you about people?

GOD : When they suffer they ask, "why me?" When they prosper, they never ask "Why me" Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I cant get the answer.

GOD : Seek not to find who you are, but to determine who you want to be. Stop looking for a purpose as to why you are here. Create it. Life is not a process of discovery but a process of creation.

Me: How can I get the best out of life?

GOD : Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

Me: One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

GOD : There are no unanswered prayers. At times the answer is NO.

Me: Thank you for this wonderful chat. I am so happy to start the New day with a new sense of inspiration.

GOD : Keep the faith and drop the fear. Don't believe your doubts and don't doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life is wonderful if you know how to live .

Reach Out and SOC Someone

Ivan_mcdonalds
"SendOutCards is fast, easy and fun".  "SOC; it's simple and it works".  "Send cards and help others send cards".  I hear these slogans all the time.  Is that really all there is to becoming a successful SOC distributor?  Well, actually, that's not all there is to it.  It also requires a lot of work to be successful as a SendOutCards distributor.  You do have to work hard but it's not hard work.

Someone once said, "most people will miss a great opportunity because it arrives looking like work."  Let me break down each of these slogans to better understand what it takes to be successful at sending these wholesale greeting cards.

Is it really fast, easy and fun sending cards with this system?  Absolutely.  First of all you can send one card or 500 wholesale greeting cards with postage already included in less than 5 minutes.  Second, it's as easy as sending a regular email and a lot more fun.  Especially when you get a call from the person you sent the card to.  I don't expect anything in return when I send out cards but it feels really good when someone does respond with a nice comment.  Here are just three of several comments I've received in response to a card I sent:

"Hey Roland, it's Mary Wilhite, the card was absolutely gorgeous!!! Good touch, good taste...I love the art, I love everything! I look forward to talking to you! Oh, and thank you for the gift card!  I just love Starbucks!"

"I love this photo and everyone here at work loves it as well. Yes, I would like to design a card because I have another favorite photo that I would really like to see on a card." P. Burwell

"Thank you again for all your help.  I can't wait to hear from everybody on how much they LOVE  the invites. Please say help to Marge for me. Thanks Roland!"  D. Hanna

Can you really become successful by sending cards and helping others to send cards?  Yes, you can.  The process of sending cards and helping others to send cards requires action on your part.  Your success is in direct proportion to your ability to master this process.  There are many distributors, including myself, who have done well in this area who are willing to help you.  And it doesn't matter who sponsored who.  It doesn't matter whose organization you're in--everybody in SOC helps everybody.  All you need to do is ask.

Is it really that simple and does it really work?
Yes, on both counts.  There is no reason to try and guess what your next step should be when you become a distributor.  SOC provides the "daily 8".  This is a system of 8 easy steps that you should strive to achieve each day.  Keeping track of your progress will give you instant feedback on your progress.  Having a slow week?  Check your daily 8 status. Your success is in direct proportion to your commitment to your daily 8.  SOC also provides a simple business plan called the 90 day action plan that is designed to guide you on the path to become a successful distributor in the shortest amount of time possible.  Please note that this is an action plan--the key word being action--your success will be in direct proportion to the action that you take.

So, in essence, SOC really is fast, easy and fun and all you have to do is send cards and help other people do the same.  And it works--if you work it.  You have to work hard but it's not hard work.
